No News on his motor yet. They are dragging their butts, said they'd have more info on Monday.
-
I think I'd be paying a wrecker to tow it to another shop. something sounds fishy over there anyways
-
I felt the same about the shop. When 89 told me about what they said I raised the BS flag.
He isn't mechanically savy so I offered to get involved. Their tune changed real quick when I let them know they were not speaking to someone that knew nothing about vehicles.
It was actually quite funny because when I called he gave me the same "uh, it's locked up". When I rattled off several reasons why the motor wouldn't turn over you could hear his jaw hit the floor over the phone.
LOL

yea I thinks that what I'm going to do I went over today he is going to get to it today and let me know something ....If not i got some good big cam people ready to go!
-
Just got off the phone with the mechanic he said he found some brass material in the oil pan!!!
-
bearings... crank may be gone too if it's been run long like that
-
Got my truck back today towed it to another shop the guy had told me he took off my pan and he found brass in the tank however he lied I went early this morning to the shop and found my truck still in the same spot nothing had been done to it....I took it to another guy a Cummins man I'll know something this week he thinks it's water in the cylinders that is leaking through the injectors (if this makes any sense)
-
You could have a cracked or loose injector cup that would cause that.
But, check the easy stuff first. -
This makes more sense than spinning a bearing while its sitting in the parking lot. Takes heat to seize a bearing to the crank and lock the motor.
