Might also explain why the starter was seemingly dragging before firing off the motor.. May have had enough before to cause partial hydo-lock and drag but not fully hydro-lock till it sat for longer periods. Once it spit out the smaller amount of water it was able to turn over and start.

you could speculate all day. just need to get in it and see.

Very true. That is basically what I told the mechanic that said "it's locked up" .... There could be all sorts of reasons.

well if you decide to scrap it I need a fan clutch setup. My fn is diect drive, never shuts off. costing me a ton in fuel

I doubt he'll scrap it. lol He's looking at options of buy another motor or build this one but he still doesn't know the extent of the damage so far, so its a guessing game waiting on info from the mechanic. My fan clutch is toast too. Need to find out how much a rebuild kit will cost me.

About $280 for a horton

I'mma keep her and rebuild the motor from head to toe this way I know what I got and while the motor is out I can build her to about 600 ...then I'll see if I can find 5Mouths2 feed on the road to let him choke on the black smoke coming out the stacks , get a lil eagle blood on my tongue 10-4!!!!
