I took this one through the cab in November of 2006. My old teaming partner, Puddin, submitted it to a website contest (unbeknownst to me), and I won "Best Nature and Landscape" of 2006 for it!
I'm sure someone has an idea of where it is. I'll post the location later.
One that won awards

Pine needles and coniferous trees, and obviously on the coast. West coast of course. Possibly west coast of FL even.
No other clues I can tell. Anywhere on the coast likely northern half of the country is about as close as I could get. Could even be a great lake too. I'll be surprised if someone guesses. I'll go with California though. -
I guess nobody's going to bite, so it's the northernmost point of Lake Michigan, taken form MI-2 on the UP of Michigan

Absolutely beautiful shot. What type of camera?

It was a nice little Fuji S3100 that I can't bring myself to part with. I'm a firm believer in Fuji cameras - I have the S3100, an S1000, and a S9600 (so far), and love them! I keep the S3100 in a bag on the passenger seat for quick and easy access, and take a lot of pictures while I'm on the road. I prefer Fuji because I can use AA batteries, and don't have to use "specialty", high-dollar batteries.

Oh, I'm down with that! I use a Fugi Finepix S5100 with the 10x zoom and love it. The batteries last for a few months before recharging. Double A batts from the dollar store will work, but not too long. It has a lot of settings, but the automatic works so well I never had to learn to use them!
