What about the drivetrain? Seats are great and all, but a strong pulling rig makes for an easier drive. The easier the drive, the more refreshed the driver is.

Forget the swivel for sure useless. Now I would go with the leather if going with the elite 80 as triplesix mentioned. WOW that is the most comfortable seat i have sat in for a days ride. I have a feeling that the cloth would be just as nice but i had the leather. But that is also the only leather seat i have ever liked in my truck. I am a big boy 6' 5" tall 275 lbs and most seats i can't get real comfortable in but i had no problem getting comfy in that thing. Unfortunately that truck got wore out and now i'm back to an old stock seat in my new truck
. Seat comfort will definitely make a big difference for your driver after a long day he will thank you for not being cheap.

Thanks for the info everyone! Everyone seems to agree that the swivel would be useless and a waste of money. I just noticed that Sear's offers a heated seat option too! As a driver, is there ever a time when you would have liked to have a heated seat?? Or is this just overkill in a truck??
As of right now, it seems as though I am going to spec the Elite 80 in the Ultra-leather with the stowaway center arm rests...
Thanks everyone!

If you want to research it more you can send me a heated seat and I will give it a good test for ya

Some people love heated seats in an automobile, i personally can't stand them they just make your *ss sweat as far as i can tell.

14 years of driving truck and never needed the heated seats or the swivel option
I have to agree with another responder
the drive train is the single most important thing
a good engine/ transmission combo with the proper gear ratio in the rears will make more difference than the seats
I like the coronado more than the set back drive wheels on the pete
it gives a smoother ride overall
however a hood like a 389 or a W900 is ideal for the best ride and they are the best looking trucks on the road
I would much rather have one or the other over my columbia by money talks and BS walks and a hood won't make me any more money which is the single biggest issue -
Swivel= waste of money.
Leather= looks nice but gets too hot causing drivers to sweat or buy a cloth seat cover and or beaded seat cushion to get that air circulating. Better to buy the cloth like the others have suggested.
Heated seat= unnecessary and a waste of money imo.
Spend the money on a strong drive train and a cloth seat with multiple seat adjustments such as air ride, length of slide, lumbar, side bolsters, inboard arm rest, isolator, etc. -
Thanks everyone for your advice about the seats!!
