Went through sb I-5 in Everett today. First time I've ever seen that coop open.. They had creepers under 4 trucks when I went through.
Tomorrow I'll hit the nb I-5 Stanwood coop and see if I can talk them in to inspecting me..

I ain't worried any of this, they mark you down for the tread on your tires when really they should try to get these dumb swift drivers off the road so that the ditch can rest a little bit and possibly save a life or two!!!! Not trying to disrespect swift or anything but the truth is the truth!!!!
-
FSC???........What's that??????.....isn't that some arcane compensation like tarp pay?????
panhandlepat Thanks this. -
True....Today it ain't much different than any other sommer time day out on the road. About the only difference is after the 3 day blitz is over CVSA will tell how good (or bad) we are as a average.
Back when it was fist started it was almost a guarantee that every scale you crossed you was going to get looked at be it paper work only or a level1 Insp. Remember when CVSA first came out, each state had there sticker number and state abbreviation (ie; KY 12345, OH 12345, CA 12345, ect)? You could look at every sticker and tell what state was doing the most Insp. just walking thru a truck stop.
I had two Level 1 Insp in the same day, one in Tn passed got the sticker and another Level 1 in Indiana, they took the Tn sticker off and put there's on "claming" Tn dont insp trucks as well as they do.
And as I said in another post looks like the place to get that easy sticker is in Mexico. I'll bet my truck they can be bought across the border.
In some ways CVSA is good as it keeps all the states in line with one another on how to conduct Inspect but its all so just another money sucking Federal Government program.

I75 NB and SB before the wildwood FL exit jammed back i saw at least 6 trucks getting crawled under with hoods up and about 3 officers standing around beside the coop so it looks like they were waiting for more. it looked like the grand opening of mcdonalds in Ethiopia with all the trucks lined up

Anyone near the Ports of L.A. and Long Beach??????
I wonder if the "duct-taped and tie-wired" heaps were inspected.... -
That was a redundant question, right?
-
Have you seen those trucks?????
Remember the cartoons when you were a kid with the cartoon tires with tape patches on them.....that's those trucks and few dumpers running around L.A. too....
If the DOT actually enforced and inspected in the L.A. area alone...the state would be in the black......
But the rules (and interpretations) of Special Order 40 are in effect........ -
Oh I know ... thus my post. But of course if the rules were fairly enforced, across the board, there would be much freight needing moved by fewer trucks. Hmm, now what effect would that have on wages/income?

I don't know about Special Order 40, but I do know what I see on the roads every day I'm in CA ... going through scales and being passed by CHP to boot. -
Special order 40 is a policy enacted by LAPD in regards to illegals.....
the cops can't arrest or harass suspected illegals.
The liberal courts have interpreted it to mean that illegals have the same rights as citizens....
Put it this way...when I ran dumps...I got pulled over by CHP and they had to dig hard to find things.....meanwhile.....the POS illegal rigs flew by and the CHP inspectors even waved at them......
Yep, a citizen can't sue the CHP for harassment, but an illegal can, and they do......
In Kommiefornia...it's a backwards world.....
