You have to live within a certain distance from one of their plants, they do have a rider policy, I think its at least 16, and yes they track your idle time. My son has been with them for about 5 years now and although he makes noise about driving his own truck, he knows that he has about the sweetest deal on the road overall

Idle time is 10% max with apu, 45% max without. I think you ha e to live with. 50 miles of a plant. As far as runs you will be assigned a fleet, some are Midwest, northeast, Texas, and Oklahoma. And of courses there's a fleet run out of lots of places in arkansas. I'm in the texas fleet and have been all over. Last week I was in ohio and Virginia, right now I'm 30 miles north of salt lake city waiting for my appointment with walmart d/c.

Trucks must be parked at a Tyson facility on your hometime. I'm usually out 14-16 days with 2 full days at home.

There was a fellow that went by the handle of "Eagle Eye" if I remember correctly. He started blogging about Tyson. He went through that Crowder College program...got hired with CFI...got fired with CFI...got on as a student with Tyson...went to single seat status...was blogging really positive reports and dropped off the internet. Can"t find anything on him now. But he was liking Tyson.

You are correct. I work for a similar type company. Our money is made from our sales of our products. yes the trucks make some revenue but most revenue comes from our sales. We do alot of business with tyson. Their drivers seem to be very professional from encounters i have with them. Never heard them complaining too much. I understand that they pay well and have a very good benefits package.
