not a lot of freight going in or out of MI. i think that is why i don't have a student right now... they have all but quit hiring in the norther states.

 

Good luck and also just to let you know that after training you may have to wait a awhile for your own truck.I talk a werner driver about a month ago and he told me it took him about over a month to get a truck.Not sure how true but have heard of that happing,

 

GOOD LUCK, WERNER IS THE WORST COMPANY, THEY PROMISE YOU A TRUCK, AFTER THEY GET 300 HOURS OF TRAINING OUT OF YOU, RUNNING YOU WITH A TRAINER FOR ONLY $50.00 A DAY FOR YOU AND THEN SEND YOU HOME WITH NO JOB. THEY THEN BLACKBALL YOU IN THE INDUSTRY ON YOUR DAC REPORT. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME CHECK OUT THE OTHER BLOGS. IT IS TRUE I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS. WENT WITH THEM AFTER SCHOOL TO END UP WITHOUT A JOB. AFTER APPLYING TO OTHER COMPANYS I FIND OUT THEY BLACKBALL YOU IN YOUR DAC REPORT, SO NOW I WAIT FOR A COPY OF THAT TO DISPUTE IT. I HAVE A TOTALLY CLEAN RECORD.

BEWARE THEY WILL KILL YOU IN THE INDUSTRY

 

I second the post above...you'll spend 6 to 8 weeks in training for measly pay only to not be allowed to test out when you reach 300 hours. So then essentially you team for $350 a week or you quit! That's what I did...
