I've been hearing ads on roaddog trucking radio for flatbed/regional and at the end of the commercial it says a part of the estes family. Did Estes buy out Eastern? This is the same company with the 'On the ball' slogan, red trucks, right? I used to see them around the NE part.

Yep Estes bought them. Found an article online about the deal. Also on another note Estes is doing the delivery for Home Depot’s here in Okc. Cardinal use to do it. Estes seems to be expanding its reach.

yeah, I haven't seen it. Might keep an 'eye out' for that and see if I find one!

down here in LA on my way next door to TX. However, I had a very brief stint at Estes. I REALLY miss it and messed up badly there(long story short, I had some bad issues in life). Maybe I'll get back on in a few years? I have a great job where I'm at, so best to stay where I am.

Eastern is a hazy memory for me. Once I had preston, CF, Estes, etc etc etc then I remembered Eastern.
I just don't know enough. I was too young.
There is a Eastern Airlines that is really good at getting you to work 200 miles until someone with a bit much money bought the thing and lost too much money trying to make it something it aint.gsmith2332 Thanks this. -
I thought about airlines, but then I remembered my golden rule was to NEVER work at a place where I couldn't pull over to the shoulder to check things out, if they go wrong!
