Intertrashional was Estes’ weapon of choice too for years until the Maxxforce saga. They sent them all back and then we started seeing more and more Volvo’s. But like you said, up until then, we had Internationals on the yard that the wise men drove to find baby Jesus. They didn’t have AC, a radio, or any power but they’d fire right up and wouldn’t burn a drop of oil.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

International = 13 letter sh## spreader

LOL, If I had to run the big road again, and gods willing it would be in a binder. Not a new one, from what I have been hearing about the maxforce.

Of the new trucks give me a Mack or Volvo. Once upon a time, I was a Kenworth guy only, but the new ones are flimsy compared to the 70s, 80s, 90s trucks. Its really too bad, I never would have guessed that I would switch brand loyalties because I was 100% a KW person. Mack and Volvo just keep getting better year after year, they were once just junk...KW just keeps sliding further into the gutter...eventually my brand loyalty switched...took three decades to happen!

I can't say anything about mack or volvos either one, but I will say you are right on the money with the new KW's, not to mention, they are butt ugly too. lol I am just glad I will not be needing a new truck. new petes speced for the haul road, run about 220,000, before you set one up. KWs are cpmparable in price, and basically one choice in power between the two. No macs or volvos up here with anything like haul road specs.
Iwould have a hard time spending that kind of money for what a guy gets these days.
The one good thing, is everybody is getting at least one rebuild under warranty.Lepton1 and MartinFromBC Thank this. -
