I AM NEW TO THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY AND HAVE BEEN HEARING ABOUT THE PARKING ISSUES. I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS AND WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME OUT TO ADD THEIR ANSWERS. THANK YOU!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARK OVERNIGHT AT TRUCK STOPS SUCH AS FLYING J, LOVES, ETC? ARE THERE ANY PERKS THAT COME WITH THAT IF YOU PAY TO PARK VS NOT PAY

HAVE ANY OF YOU GUYS CAME ACROSS LOTS NEAR TRAVEL STOPS THAT OFFER PARKING AT A LOWER OR EVEN HIGHER PRICE WHEN THE TRAVEL STORES ARE FULL?
    :love4:

I just paid $17 for parking at TA. The free parking is full. The next truck stop is probably full 30 miles down the road and I don't have driving time to go another 60 to the next truck stop. That's a NEW Love's that just opened and Love's still have all free parking !

No extra perks. Just knowing you have a parking when you arrive. I reserved the parked spot 1 before getting here. My trucking company does reimburse us for parking. So at lease I'm not paying for it. It kinda suckes because about half the parking lot is paid parking now.

I been stopping at loves most nights now because the free parking and free unlimited shower if buy 1,000 gallon a month of fuel from loves.

Love's truck stop keeps opening new truck stops and all the other don't and want to charge for parking. Their is new loves just 60 miles down the road and free parking. This TA is like 30 years old

Here a funny one the TA in Washington courthouse Ohio is like 70% paid parking. The loves just down the road is free and they just double their parking lot maybe 1 year ago and it still free.

  4. depending on the location Flying J the TA the average about 15 to 20 bucks...
it also depends on the area I've been to some out in the middle of nowhere where I paid $13 overnight the park and I've also been to some places where I paid as much as 18 bucks to park..
some companies that reimburse you for parking safely some don't you have to eat it. I
scratch more than that in lottery tickets or hit a casino where you can park a truck LOL..especially the Oklahoma Indian ones and the ones up near Illinois and Iowa by the quad cities in a week so I just put 60 bucks on the side every week just for parking if I need it I got it if I don't and I don't...
but knowing how the game is changed if you want to keep playing I'm not somebody who parks on a ramp unless it's a dire emergency I never have..
also having IBS I need to be close to a bathroom sometimes and the bottom line is I'm not going to play a game circling the lot all Night or Park in a fire lane like a moron..I don't work for a company where I have to scrimp and save every little coin and hope I have enough pennies to get a truckers happy meal at McDonald's lmao!!
and do I get reimbursed? no do I have a problem paying to park? again no.I old I like my sleep at night I don't want to play the circle the Iot for hours.
just pay to Park; I can shower, eat go have a beer do whatever I want and I'm done knowing that I'm securely parked

T/A and Pee lot raise thier price around 3pm then again at 6. Then when all the free spots are gone raise it again. I've seen as low as $12 and as high as $18
