Oughta award that AC unit a medal for heroism in combat conditions.

 

Probably not, but I’m all about preventative maintenance.

The breaker tripped last night, which we did have a lot of electrical going. It came back on and cooled fine. I helped my uncle replace this unit two years ago, so it was overdue. I keep clean filters in the house, just haven’t checked the outdoor condenser up close.

I’m going to order a three wire hard start kit for it just to lessen the draw, it reduces the load on startup pretty significantly.

 

I need to be turning wrenches, But I was surprised by a nice smell of something dead in the shop today. I can not find it. It smells bigger than a mouse.

Upon secondary search I feel that I found the cause, right after posting. I was getting ready to blast out the floor drain when I found him laying next to a Small block Olds.
