The new FLG might well be local driver BS. Went out that way about a month ago and didn't see ground broken anywhere yet. There's lots of kinds of fertiliser.

Picked up a 444 mile run on Saturday. Was a very nice day. Started at 5pm (just after my reset), screwed to the hub, which was closed and peaceful, hook my set, took my 30 and rolled. Total run time 9.5 hours.
Best part was seeing the sun the entire leg of the trip to the hub.
I could get used to an extra Saturday run every week.MACK E-6, speedyk and authentic251 Thank this. -
My upcoming paycheck for last week that posted to the payroll system makes me sick to my stomach. All things in perspective, not a bad payday for 3 days of work, just frustrating with all of the behind the scenes nonsense going on with the company aggressively cutting runs lately.
Seniority sucks until you have it.Attached Files:

But don't you get all warm and fuzzy knowing that your check was made possible by delivering on the Purple Promise? You can't put a monetary value on that feeling.
Also, you still made net $2 more than me, even though I worked 5 days. So there's that...Last edited: Jul 24, 2019
buckmanmike, McUzi, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Working on the east coast there are alot of short runs. I transferred west because of that. Of the 6 terminals we run to only 1 is under 400 miles
McUzi Thanks this. -
So it’s been well over a week since the last bid was instituted, and my bid hasn’t run once since then. Between my last bid and the current one, I haven’t run mine in a couple weeks.
Fortunately there have been lots of other opportunities through the course of last week, some days more lucrative than my actual bid. -
Taking the last spot is a roll of the dice. Good luck with your bid.
McUzi Thanks this. -
Yep. Only options to me were last in the lane or extra board. Would rather have a bid since I’ll go to the extra board if I’m cut anyway.jmz Thanks this.

What a garbage night last night. Started my night yesterday at 2004, went to the hub as normal, arrived at 1230. Dispatch not ready until 0525, left the yard at 0554 with 4 hours and 14 minutes on my clock for a 222 mile run going through major cities in the North East.
Fun times invoking a 16 hour exemption, got back to my yard at 1115 today. Upside to the misery of that run is that with my reset ending at 2122 tonight, a 34 hour reset isn't possible even after taking tonight off (I have a 2015 start time), so I don't have the 16 hour eligibility for the rest of the week.Last edited: Jul 30, 2019
