You wimp- drink that liquid refuse straight! At least that's what I do on those few, inadvisable times that I go ahead and have McD's coffee.

Nanny- of all the commercial chains, I think starbucks is the best. However, nothing can come close to a coffee shop with someone who knows how to brew coffee (whether they're a barrista or not).

 

LOL! I really don't drown it. One cream and one sugar is enough. I know what some say... if you can't drink it straight then you really don't like coffee. I don't care... it's the caffeine I'm after! :smt026

 

If you ever have occasion, go in a grocery store in Louisiana... perhaps a few other Southern states, get yourself a lb. of Community Coffee... in-between roast. OUTSTANDING! (I'm from Baton Rouge and its made there.) The darker roasts will put hair on your chest... and uh.., I didn't wanna do that ..I'm a gurl.

 

Yes Yes Community Coffee best in the south great taste. Puts starbucks to shame can be bought in some Wal-Marts in the south to drink it is to love it

 

Psst, NannyB. I agree 110% that SBC is better than Starbucks. Don't tell Paddy though.

My favorite coffee is the stuff I brew myself every morning in the truck. I bought a couple of pounds of Walmart brand Arabica, and brew about twice as strong as recommended. I have a 4 cup Mr. Coffee, and use as much coffee as a 10 cup pot for average Joe. It is almost as strong as the pilot Arabica, or dark roast as they call it now, but without the bitter edge Pilot has. I have a couple 24oz cups of my brew every day. Yeah, I have the shakes, Why???

As for chain coffee, I like Einstein Brothers Euro-french roast. Great bagels too. Pilot is good too, but has a hard bitter edge. The new Arabica coffee in the Petro Resturaunts isn't half bad.

 

Pilot's coffee will set your teeth on edge.
