I grew up flying that exact Mooney, color scheme and all. It’s now in Texas. I’ve always followed it. Sleek and fast. Still loved the Cessna 172 for fun.

 

A little girl was selling these in front of her house. My trainee nearly had a heart attack when i screamed STOP.
As soon as we had come to a stop, i jumped out and ran back and bought four containers of raspberries. One will be gone before I get home, one for my trainee, the other two are for the wife and daughter. The pickup truck who was now stopped behind us, backed up and bought two containers as well lol I could see her mama keeping an eye on her out of the house window. She picks them in her moms garden, sell them for $4 and splits the profits 50/50 with her mom she told me, an entrepreneur at age 9.

 

No tomatoes in your tomato sauce eh ?

I learned in a 172, then bought a half a 172 with a partner. We sold it and bought a 182 together, sold that and bought a Cherokee six together. Last year I sold my half share out, and bought an Encore.
