Odd that you're talking about Ford Fairmont's. I was just looking at what's on the market this weekend, not that I can afford one. I would like a sleeper 4 door. I never did care much for the Futura coupe. Just think that wrapover roof line clashes with the rest of the lines. I like the Granada's too. Dayton Ohio police had some V 8 Fairmont's back in the day but one got wrapped around a tree or a pole or something and the driver died from what I read, so they got rid of them. Such a light body on those things.

They are definitely light. And it takes a good bit of work to get 'em solid. But for drag racing they work well.
