Sierra Logistics Group Inc out of Silver Springs, NV, DOT #2343635, are scum of the earth.

One of their drivers hit our service truck in Nashville, TN a few days ago. He hit the back corner of the service bed with his trailer, bent the back corner of the bed and bent up the door to the back box.

Took plenty of pics and called Nashville police. Nashville police dispatch told me they don't send officers out to write reports that occur on private property. So I got a copy of their insurance and other info. The driver was really wanting to just slip me some cash and pretend like it didn't happen but I told him I'd have to get a estimate to find out what it would cost to fix. He was still not wanting to turn it into insurance, so I told him I'd get a estimate and give him the option of just paying for it.

I went to the local body shop and got a estimate for the repair. The estimate was $1,400 and I texted this to the driver and emailed it to the owner of Sierra (Dan S). Fast forward to today and I get a email from Sierra saying they are not willing to pay the estimate from the reputable body shop because the estimate included a new box door (the current door is trash) and they weren't willing to pay for a new door on a used truck. Said they would offer $800. The current door is trash, now where are you going to find a used door for a service body?

Bottom line is, they said they would make it right and they aren't.

@m16ty If you have his insurance info, contact his insurance company yourself & file a claim thru them. Don’t bother with the trucking company

The guy in the picture was just one of the workers at the plant that came out to look at the accident. He has nothing to do with the actual accident.

Yes, we were parked in a lined parking spot. I saw it all happen, and if I hadn't been screaming stop it would have been worse. I was standing about where the farthest away picture was taken when it happened. He just cut right into it, I don't see how you could have done what he done if you were paying any attention at all. One of the witnesses said they saw him on his phone as he was coming around the building, I didn't actually see that so I can't confirm. One thing is for sure is that he wasn't paying attention.

I think that is what I'm going to do. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they are a typical White Volvo outfit.

If they aren’t willing to pay for the damage then just file a claim, easy as pie.

Next time tell them it involved a CMV involved in interstate commerce and that it was a preventable accident. I'm pretty sure that even on "private" property they would have to show up, but I could be wrong.

Metro Nashville Police are almost worthless. They won't hardly show up unless somebody is dying or there is money in it for them. They just don't care.

The driver kind of tried to get smart with me at first when I wouldn't except his cash bribe, and I was about ready to give him a old fashioned butt kicking until I thought better of it. One of my employees said "I bet the cops would show up then", but even then I'm not sure.

They are mostly foreigners, can't hardly speak English, can't drive worth a flip, and don't understand how things work in this country. They also typically haul for basement bottom rates. They come from a place where somebody hits your truck like this, they take the cash bribe, pocket the money, and never fix the truck. I don't want their money, I just want my truck fixed.
The trailer and truck were both fairly new but both had several battle scars besides the one from my truck.
