I have a horn blasters train horn set on my station wagon and there are like 8 years old and still work great. They are also under the car and have seen everything from super humid Florida summers to Pennsylvania below zero winters with ice and snow on the road. You don't have to worry about getting a compressor from them so that is easy. My car is bagged so I already had onboard air so all I needed was horns and brackets and they weren't super expensive.
What if it Snows?

Was digging thru the pictures to find one of the wagon that has the airhorns so you can all laugh at me lol. I got this car from a customer who's mother had passed away and they didn't want it so I got bored with a twelve pack and this started lol. I also found a picture of me at UPS on one of the days congressman freelunch was stopping by. God I hated those days. But figured I would share it because standing behind a podium in a ####ing shop looks real professional lol.

Heavy Duty Mega-Size Train Horn with Deluxe Sound by Grand GeneralLepton1, Dave_in_AZ, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -
Can't beat the price on em. These are the ones I have and I can say they are super loud. I don't hit them very often but I jump half the time as they still startle me everytime I hit the switch lol.

Alas anything train will probably be pricey. Railroadiana drives prices up wicked. Though you might try and get an exhaust whistle as they will bbe cheaper (run it on air, not exhaust)
Aermore Exhaust Whistle Kit - Eckler's Automotive Parts
These were originally for antique autos. Yet they make decent sound on air and dont have noise restrictions as train horns will. Yet it is your pocket.
is an alternative in PVC (maybe $40 in fittings)Lepton1, Dave_in_AZ, MartinFromBC and 2 others Thank this. -
This brought up a memory from like over ten years ago. God this is just as funny as the first time I seen it lol.
