Wait you guys only worked 153 days?

If not, per diem is most certainly per head as well

Another lil tidbit for new guys. You can learn something new all the time. I got a few years under my belt and tonight will be a first for me.....pulling doubles. Never done it before but not worried, I'll just take it slow and steady and make sure I bring the truck back in one piece and don't hurt anyone.

PS....I make more than I would flipping burgers too lol

Some people like to be bullies. Some people are ignorant and/or stupid. In a perfect world people would search the site for their answers.

I didn’t understand why so many longtime users of this site acted like dill holes to new members. I’ve been here a year and I sort of understand that the same questions get asked over and over and over and over again. It never stops.

Spend a year in a truck. Then look at your original questions. Like me you may realize that you’re as dumb as a bag of hammers.

I guess the burger flipping argument is based on when we have a bad week out here when everything seems to go wrong, we could make more money doing litteraly anything else with half the work and half the stress, its kind of like that kick to the balls on top of already a bad day.. But with trucking i think it takes a different attitude. I dont really see driving as working. The only work for me is anything i do outside the truck, securing, tarping, pre trip etc. Once i get in the drivers seat im just doing what i need to do to get to the drop snd get back to work. Some of us done way tougher jobs in life than pullin a flatbed , and made way less money than drivin a truck , but some bad days seem to never end , or they go on for weeks and then months at a time. Sometimes just need a vacation from it all . but u aint gonna catch me half dead with a spatchla in my hand askin ppl if they want ketchup with that. Never me

When I'm having a bad day and I pass a guy cutting grass, I think to myself, "I could do that..." Burgers never enter the picture.

I've never worked in a restaurant before so I know nothing about making food on a production level but that's gotta be tough to do it in such a small space.
