They don't have the best reputation, but if they truly don't have driver cams I might at least take another look at them when I resume my job hunt next month. I used to drive for Interstate before Heartland bought them. Most of the Interstate drivers I've talked to don't like Heartland at all.

They have mostly manuals, no cameras, they run 65, with five years experience I'll be getting paid 48cpm, roughly 2200 miles per week, home every weekend, and full benefits.
So we'll see what it's like, I guess. All of that is better than where I'm coming from (43cpm, barely 2000 miles average, they were having serious issues getting me home on the weekends, their equipment is run-down, and they just got rid of all the manuals). -
It's all relative as they say. When I started 25 years ago the company had me hauling tankers over-the-road in an old spring-ride cabover. It was an 18-wheeler and I was making decent money, so I was happy.
I've met Heartland drivers over the years who consider them a good company to work for. Good luck with them. -
Just phoned a Heartland recruiter to see if I'm eligible for rehire (they consider former Interstate drivers to be rehires). She confirmed that they don't have any cameras in their trucks anymore.
JudgeRightly Thanks this. -
I think alot of companies are taking the cameras out. People dont want cameras in their face 24/7 and it makes it seem like they dont trust their own drivers.BlueThunderr, mathematrucker and JudgeRightly Thank this.

Think it was ShopRite or a company that hauls for them has cameras. I only know because of the driver behind me that witnessed a accident I had off i84 in NY last month

CRST & Equity are a NO on driver facing cameras..
mathematrucker Thanks this. -
Walmart Transportation has south-facing cameras and microphones but the cameras are spaced slightly away from the windshield and can catch the light of a cell phone in use while driving at night.
foggy Thanks this. -
I'm sure they'll run you off as soon as they try to access it.

Trimac does have both front facing and driver facing cameras in all the newer trucks.
