heres a question for u BCTINC? if ur so against pharm and his "business plan" why are u even still reading this thread? Ive always been a fan of the "if u dont like it then dont read it saying. No one on here wants to read ur ramblings on how crappy of a biz plan pharm has. to me he is a guy just like u or me trying to make some money in a crappy enconomy and feed his family. theres nothing wrong with that. and even with his "mistakes" hes still making some coin and hes learning from his mistakes. so give the guy a break. hes human just like me or you

You (not "u") do not see nor will ever understand the big picture of the importance of a business plan. Just by glancing at the numbers the OP has posted shows that he is essentally running for fuel money along with being basically a lease o/o with his carrier/broker......Hopefully you understand the basics of business 101 and a biz plan will when you get older and wiser.....

Ouch knocking my spelling and my age, I'm so hurt. Let me just say this I'm 21 What do u expect? Of course i dont know much about business plans, I dont have the expierence that doesnt mean i'll never get the importance of it. I'm learning everyday. So before u judge me from ur high horse just remember back when u were my age what went thru ur head... from the sounds of it ur doing pretty well so what makes u think i cant do the same thing. Of course with out the "thinking im god I started out perfect "approach.

    Hey what the --???

I wasn't lecturing Pharm. I was sizing up his post with some mention of my plans as they happen in my mind.

I still think the second truck is a good idea. After considering the costs and risks...I think I'm just going to sit back and think it over as the money rolls in. Gotta see how this driver works out, too.

Oh and what did I expect? Well... lets put it this way:

I would expect him to do better with an "I can" attitude than half the weasels that mock anyone on this board that takes a chance. The bitter posters on here that insist that every risk taken is a sure suicide are the same ones that would probably benefit from a little "go-getter'ness" that Pharm displays. No one wants to be 75 years old, sitting in their section 8 apartment, telling stories of "what would have been" to their cats.

Hmmm...You knwo if I was a dick I would say "its business, not biz" or correct your typo on the word essentially... but instead I am just curious if we have an IGNORE function on this forum.

Sorry, BCT. When two posts in a row make zero sense to me I have to stop responding. If I have to point out why you've already found your reason.

I want to set the record streight about Pharm's "comical and silly" adventure. Pharm has had an up-hill battle. It has not been easy for him.Pharm has called me when he has been involved in his "comical and silly'' mishaps. AT THE TIME THEY WERE NOT "COMICAL OR SILLY" they were a serious learning experence for him.
He has come a long way in a short time. Pharm is a guy that has the ability to do many things. If Pharm chooses to get out of trucking I know for a fact he has the ability to do other things. I hope he is sucessful in Life as well as trucking.

Most or should I say, a lot of us, on here are either "chasing the dream" or there are those who have found it. Good for all of us!!!
We're reading these threads and posts to get or give information. At least the large majority of us are. Then there are the bitter unhappy people who are quick to point out mistakes but don't offer a solution. Why keep useful information to yourselves? This is, as we all know, a very tough business. In this envirornment and economy it's tougher than its been for years. Why not read posts and offer suggestions? Why would a person talk down or make fun of a poster who doesn't know as much? Offer advice or a suggestion.
For the new people out there, they'll find out if it's the lifestyle for them without being beat to death by a poster. Why not offer something contructive not just beat them down?
If we all listened to the nay-sayers none of us would be in the industry.
PP and I have had our differences but have always respected each other's opinions and I will admit that I've had to shake my head and do some eye rolls when I've read some of his posts. But I have to give him all the credit in the world for going into something he didn't have a clue about and trying to make it. His posts make it possible for some of the readers not to make the same mistakes so it's a bit of an education with humor infused in it. So, let's look at it as it's meant to be... A journal of learning.

If it weren't for people like Rob, who had the cojones to try something he had no experience at, this country would still be back in the stone ages.
