They actually worked pretty well if you used them right.
I don't know of anyone who still runs them. Jakes or a retarder...or better yet jakes and a retarder... are much more effective.

I do have to say it's pretty awesome that the op has a cabover. I always think they are the coolest thing on the road every once in a great while when I see one out in the wild doing work.

Yeah I bought the Jake's themselves from Vander haags and then got the install kit from another shop but cat told me yesterday they are looking for 3 more items I need. Supposed to call me this morning and let me know if they found them or not

Yeah I like it. Can actually stand up in it behind seats like a conventional so that helps also don't see many aerodyne anymore so I wanna get her fixed up. Stand out from the usual 379/W9 crowd lol

I didnt know they existed and it was jist a thought in my head. We have one vet saying they were good and one that says they werent. Which one is it? What was the right and wrong way to use them?

    Haters gonna hate.

Cool truck. I’d love to see some interior and full truck pics. I’m a cabover fan but only had the opportunity to drive one a couple times.

This thread has been full of good information for me as a newer OTR guy, even though I have a pretty new truck.
