I told that walking con man in front of the entire hospital and his staff -
He's fortunate I understand the meaning of respect for elders. Or I'd drop him like a bad habit. But I figure I owe all the generations that have come before me, that have suffered through some pretty f up things to get me here, an obligation to be fruitful and multiply.
No I put that POS in The Almighty's court. And I've seen firsthand how He deals with dudes like that.

It is absolutely that. No argument on that.lovesthedrive, dwells40 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Or is it like - Man I'm destroying these people. I'm not even a doctor, but obviously I've turned them into dopers.
But I am without remorse for doing so because my car insurance is $500 month cause the rules don't apply to me, and the green fees at The Camelback Country Club are $225 a pop?
How do I feel about this?

A while back I read an in depth article about why the pharma companies are getting sued. One example in the article was some small town in Kentucky IIRC. The handful of doctors in that town wrote enough prescriptions on Fentanol to serve about a million people. This from a town with a population of about 5000.
The drug companies are SUPPOSED to monitor sales of drugs like that AND crack down on any doctors with suspicious activity. Instead they actively assisted and promoted over selling the drugs, for purposes (symptoms) the drugs were never authorized by the FDA.
It gets better. These same companies developed overdose antidotes and drugs similar to methadone for "helping" victims of their over sales. Folks go see a doctor who gets big bonuses for selling Fentanol. The doctor prescribes the drug for something that has nothing to do with an FDA approved use of the drug, to get his bonus. The patients get hooked, with some wicked withdrawal symptoms. The same doctor prescribes a drug AND gets bonuses for treating the problem the pharma company actively promoted. Double the profit.RidgeRunner731 and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
The problem is the same problem that makes it near impossible to do business on nothing more than a handshake. There is next to no personal integrity or honor left in the world today.InTooDeep, lovesthedrive, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this.
