I will go ne step further, there are some that entered the industry 30 years or more ago and made a living driving their whole life, that are or were still steering wheel holders. I have met quite a few old hands, that learned just enough to get by at the exact job they had, change one thing and the trailer wheels were in the ditch.
Another semi involved accident

yep... they never had to go to a school daddy or Uncle taught him how to drive a truck.. unfortunately those are part of the ramifications too and end results..it was right about 1995 when we started to see the oncoming of the steering wheel holders but 1992 was the last of the professionals from the old school that acted that way..
help people out help people slide their tandems when they struggled.. looked out for all everybody on the road the way you were taught as a white knight.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
We still help each other, infact if you drive on by someone that is down and don't at least stop and offer to help, you trucking days are limited here.

nope..that what the foreign revolution here they'll Buzz right by and almost hit you for God's sake.. nowadays somebody may call a wrecker for you other than that hardly anybody stops at all drives right by don't even move over happens way too much and it shouldn't but it's a sign of the times and a whole new industry that many that have been out here for more than 25 years still can't figure out... -
Exactly he reason I am where I am at. The very first load I brought up, I found out the north country was 25 years behind in the ways of drivers. Yukon and northern Bc included.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
The semi driver was either euro trash or Cuban. With that in mind Cubans don’t seem to use runaway ramps. I’m going with the Asian California trucker hitting the runaway ramp at high speeds.

Hmmmm...if Keith Thomsen sounds like it qualifies a a name to denigrate...I guess you can invent fairy tales. Go for it.Deere hunter Thanks this.

Do you know this, or you just yapping?
I have to assume since you mention eurotrash or cuban, but going with asian, you have no clue what you are talking about. Correct me if I have it all wrong.Deere hunter and Lepton1 Thank this. -
I don’t think it has anything to do with nationality I think it’s all about the training .
I don’t know how many good trainers there are out there but unfortunately not enough !!! -
It has much more to do with commonsense than trainers, and we know the world is way short of it. lol
Bud A., Lepton1, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this.
