I say run the scales. Those diesel bears are too busy with big trucks and doughnuts to come chasing after a light duty truck. If you have to cross multiple scales, you should have weighed it though. If you have no CDL you can claim ignorant if they were bored and came out to chase you. Offer them some bait!
