    Why? It turned out awesome. Think he charged me $400 or something like that. I hate painting. Plus I learned a long time ago there's certain things you are many dollars ahead to let the pro do it.

    I worked some summers painting houses in new construction. We sprayed oil based stain everyday for the hundreds of track homes I was in.

    So i’ll Go to work and work 12 hours to pay for a sprayer then I’ll have to buy a lot of plastic and tape so I don’t get any overspray and then I can spray it.
    Or
    I can stain a little bit by hand each day and be done with it maybe a few days later

    Ya. But you gotta stain after 12 hours of work.

    Is it therapeutic? I can see it adding a certain kind of Bob Ross mellow intensifying groovy feel.

    Plus I didn’t paint the walls in the basement. I let the contractor do that. I get to do what I want.
