In Trenton we learn on manuals on the range but all of the trucks that see the road are autos. The driver facing cameras stay on for our first year, then if we haven't given them a reason not to, they'll turn them off

Yeah it’s all about location. I was just talking about today. I was near Trenton. Lots of trucks in one place is never a good thing.

Yeah what's funny is that after I reloaded in Toledo I drove down to Trenton to fuel, take a shower, and do my 10. That place was the emptiest I think I've ever seen it. Of course that was also on a weeknight.

I'm delivering a Menards store load to Davenport in the morning then picking up dog food going to Gas City, Indiana. I'm nearly certain that they'll tell me to head toward Trenton once I'm empty there. I hope not. But even if so they'll probably have a reload for me fairly quickly once I get down there.

lol. I think you got offended. My whole point was perspective and how one job at the moment seems great and with time doesn’t work anymore. As I was sitting waiting for my relay this morning you made me laugh. Glad it works for you.

My biggest takeaway from gremlin's story is that you get guys who call ######## on you making $50k + your first year when they've never made more their entire career. They don't even think it is possible...before even getting to their excuses. It's one thing to stick at a job that you are comfortable and content at. It's another to call ######## if other companies pay better.

Are there any non smoking trainers on here than can pick me up just north of Pittsburgh right around August 16-17th? Recruiting told me getting a non smoker wouldn't be a problem, Millis does that all the time, then Bill stuck me with a smoker. And had me being picked up in the wrong state. In addition to not giving the hotel my name at all I think there's not enough communication from recruiting to the instructors. If I can get it figured out here that'll be a lot smoother than going through someone else at Millis to get it done. I don't have Bill's cell, I left him a message saying I kicked it around and no, I can't do it. It's been a few days since I met the guy, it's not worth going back to Marlboros, I can't sit in a dude's ashtray for 2 months

This is a kinda silly thing to be proud of, but I'm proud of this. First weigh, too.

    Noice.

Well, class starts Monday in Richfield. 3 students for sure, maybe a fourth. Going to be going up to Richfield tomorrow evening for the hotel. Hope I don't run into any issues with that. I think I'm set otherwise.

Yeah, hoping I don't have an issue getting a non-smoking trainer as well. It isn't the end of the world is someone is smoking nearby. I don't like it, but I can tough it out, but I couldn't live in that for 2 months.

Curious as to how the 3 weeks of instruction goes.

It's hard to believe I'm through 2 weeks already, the guys who said it goes by fast weren't joking. I'd recommend asking your instructor if you can head in over the weekend to stick your head under a hood and and really familiarize yourself with everything on the pre trip. I spent hours picking a couple of the trucks apart and it helped me out big time

Also FYI the CAT Scale of Davenport doesn't work with the app if that's what you use. This is that standalone scale right off I280. If you don't use the app, I recommend it at the other locations. Makes life much easier when it works, and it has for me 99.99% of the time.
