And then the dairy buyout happened just to further depress the beef mans bank account.

That Stinger hay truck sitting there brings back memories. They build those 15 miles east of here in Burrton, Ks. They started in Haven, Ks. SE of town. My FIL talked them into building the first one that would stack 4 bales, for him. He told them it was a waste of time to dump them on the ground and go back and stack them with a loader.

    Thank you Stwik.

Hard for me to keep up around here; are you enjoying the stick, or after running the auto and then going back maybe the auto isn't too bad?

Reminds me of Christmas in Saskatoon about 10 yrs ago with the inlaws of my inlaws. Typical family thing, except it turned out the host wasn't all that stuffy and up for some mischief. Long (fun) story short, we end up at his friend's farm to share some bottles we picked up in town. A pretty big spread with about 4-5 big barns. Otherwise ordinary, but I see this.

Hmmm. So he says you gotta check this out.

This is what was being kept warm behind the doors.

It was too close in there to get the whole thing in a picture. Dude had cut out the barn doors to seal up over the truck frame since the barn was too shallow to get the whole rig inside. Turns out he was a tractor drag racing legend (I never followed it so had no idea) and was supporting an entire race team on that farm. Two of the other buildings were fabrication shops. Nearly all the custom stuff on that tractor and others was made by hand right there. He had a few more regular antique tractors around too.

The man standing was the host that took me over there. I can't remember his name to save my life right now. That whole trip was epic. On the way to the farm we took a short cut into town that involved crossing a frozen river in his F150 pickup. Windows down so you could hear if the ice started cracking and jump clear if it did. I also got my first ever ride on a snow machine after lifetime in warmer climates. Who knew going 80 mph on a sled in -20º would cause head freeze like eating ice cream too fast? Definitely a trip I'll never forget.

Tipping something over while loading has always been a huge fear of mine. I'm glad it all worked out for you Men, could have been way worse.
