1) I think its all the rookies that went solo during the winter months that are have all the wrecks. Now that the bad weather is gone they think they can drive like they are in the Daytona 500, they are just WAY to over confident with themselves.
2) My miles always take a hit once I'm east of the big river, I'm going to work on staying on this side for awhile.
3) Can't get on Kraft living on the west side, all the solo dedicated fleets are out east. (However I know of some out here, but I'm not going to kiss that much butt to get in on it.)
4) I like my new laptop so far, but I'm really just happy to be apart of the world again.

Don't know about Central but TA are putting brand new drivers into lease trucks right out of their trainer's trucks. Bet we are having lots of wrecks also but it doesn't get bandied about much in this company.
Talk about totally different company personalities. Brinkman says that when he gets east of the big muddy, miles go down for him. Have been out 6 days now, 3200 miles so far and only 13 left on my 70. Good thing most of the time that i have that will start dropping off is 9 hrs or more. And I wonder why I'm so tired at the moment. lol -
Central is almost the same as TA, they will lease you a truck after 3 months as a company driver!!
Central send messages on the QC when there have been a few accidents with a reminder to GET OUT AND LOOK!! As most of the accidents are backing accidents and not looking in mirrors as you make your turn.
I don't think the message is sinking in
Good miles Panhandle hope they keep coming for ya!

Well I called Russ about a starting date, and he said that he can't give me a job now....They aren't taking exp. drivers right now. I said I only drove for 7 weeks, and he said that I am considered experianced now. I said so when I do get hired, I would be considered to be an experianced driver, and get paid as such? He has not replied as of yet. I even told him about this temp jod, and he assured it wouldn't affect my job offer. Grrrr Recriuters.
-
You never believe recruiters!!!
Someone else on the thread was saying that Russ had been moved from recruiting to a new department.
Sorry to hear they burnt you. -
It was me that said that and that was because the girl who answered the phone told me that. I agree with...Grrr...Recruiters!!!
Still haven't heard anything from Ryan Williams today. Time to hit the phones. Does the squeeky wheel get the grease? If I can't get an answer do I keep bugging them or move on to a different company? That would really suck... -
This reminds me of the year that we got a BIG contract to haul Clearly Canadian Water down from Canada. They were sending drivers from the Conley, Georgia terminal up to Canada.
Well, lots of folks from Georgia have never seen deep snow, and maybe we shouldn't have sent all of them up to Canada in February!! We rolled 8 trucks in 7 days.
But the Georgia boys got the last laugh. A Northerner parked his truck half on and half off the pavement of the Conley terminal. There was a downpour and the truck sank and SLOWLY tipped onto its side. I didn't think you could actually HEAR an FM scream into a qualcomm, but I was proved wrong that day! -
I would have paid to see that!!!
We aren't talking 7 or 8 trucks!! (try 3 digit #s in a few weeks)
The Majority of accidents are in truck stops.......Guys and gals forgetting to put there G.O.A.L Hats on and a few running over cars when there making there turns at Lights.
A few rollovers, but mainly backing accidents.
