I go regularly. I love NHRA races. Everyone is accessible. Watching them work is awesome! I've met so many drivers over the years. My favorite was the GatorNationals. Met Big Daddy, Eddie Hill, Warren Johnson, Bob Glidden and John Force and a bunch more! Some were retired but meeting these guys was the best! I don't ever get "star struck" over anyone but didn't know how to act that day!
You ever get an opportunity I'd go. The first top fuel run I ever saw was like nothing I'd ever experienced! The power they make is incredible and you can feel it!!
Where is everyone #5

2,109 days till retirement!
Woohoo -
Today they are in Seattle, not really very far away.
I imagine that they go every year, so maybe next year I should fly down. -
Only 11,576 more for me!

You guys talking about early rides got me thinking. I've never owned a car.
Always a pick up and they usually ended up a Johnny cash rig. Parts of the last one keeping the current one alive.
I had two trucks bought, payed for, and wrecked even before getting a drivers license...
All 79 or older Ford's.
Had a 69 camper special on a 67 frame that I really wish I still had. It was one tough ride.
Still got a hot 429 on a pallet in the shed out of a race car waiting to go in something or another.
Someday I wanna put together a late 60's 3/4 ton Ford for a farm truck. Alum flatbed with tool boxes under the bed.
Make it a sunny day work truck.Westbound23, cke, Zeviander and 17 others Thank this. -
To a point I understand, but working in a shop you will get sheet canned for changing parts. You know how many times I seem someone change a 200 dollar sensor to still have a wiring problem. See I study things to see why it failed, not how to fix it. Fixing it is easy, and anyone can change parts.Westbound23, exhausted379, cke and 16 others Thank this. -
