I was skeptical about going to work for Kenan but wished I would have avoided the naysayers because im stacking major cash with this Company. Note: I am an Otr driver that runs and burn 70s up in 6 days.

This company does have a lot of detractors. But they are very big and big companies have a lot of different accounts and routes, some of which will be a lot better than others.
Could you tell us about your particular gig? I am looking for a change to up my income and it's a toss up at this time between Texas oil - home daily but a hot dirty grind, or a true OTR job - easy, scenic work (generally) but no home time to speak of (maybe Id put up with that for a couple years).
I know Keenan is a place to get started in tankers with no previous experience, but you got to make a good choice of route or account.Maverick Griff, Texas_hwy_287 and VIDEODROME Thank this. -
They have a lot of cryo work that is otr, I volunteered for a dedicated turn and burn run from n Texas to Iowa. Its actually ammonia that im hauling
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
I see the cryogenic trucks at the plant I haul to every day, looks to be decent equipment. As long as they treat you well than why not. I don't much good stuff about working for companies like Air Products any more.

I work for them hauling gas in northwest top rate 30.50 ot after 40 guaranteed 40 if u get called off cause it’s slow

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) can be the worst or best company to work for. I used to work for them. In the Carolina region, local fuel delivery pay is low because they pay by load and not hourly wage. Working 6 days 70hr week, you might gross $1200 to $1500 a week. I only average $900 a 5 day week.
In California, KAG pay $22 to $25 an hour and no overtime pay. Just straight time pay. Other parts of the country will have different pay.
Now if you become an Owner Operator for KAG hauling local fuel, the money can be great. In NC, O/O hauling local fuel clears about $2500 to $3500 weekly after truck payments, fuel, insurance and other deductions.
My cousin told me that his friend paid off a brand new Peterbilt daycab in one year working for KAG hauling local fuel. So the money must be great. I tried to get onboard but there is a wait list to be O/O there.Last edited: Jul 26, 2019
Maverick Griff and Lonesome Thank this. -
Terminal managers are not bad and some are great but due to corporate their hands are tied.
Most of the drivers I knew in SJ,Gilroy and Brisbane yards were staying till they found something better or had been there since Beneto and didn't want to change their schedule.
Many went over to FDS and Thomson & Harvey. Williams is not bad but you may get stuck on nights for awhile. If you have experience try for Loves or Rottin Robbie the drivers seem happy.Maverick Griff Thanks this. -

OO or company driver? I only know gas not cryo. Who is the main competition for KAG in Cryo that is worth working for? I wouldn't mind looking into cryo work.
