    It's much harder to book a good week on the west coast but it's doable. There's just too much competition for too few loads. That being said, if luck is on your side, you can book solid weeks out here. I did a 5500 dollar week and this week was 5000 after getting lucky after I posted this thread. Getting lucky is key though. After my 2 week vacation I'm going to the Midwest and staying for awhile.

    My dad is fighting thyroid cancer and he's currently in radiation therapy.

    There's a reason why the last 2 times I've gone home, Swift has deadheaded me upwards of 2000 miles away to find freight when it comes time to depart from the terminal in Troutdale, OR. Freight doesn't exist in that ####hole anymore. All that's left is a vacuum and a lot of drivers trying to get the hell out
