Build the 2WS it's already there and it's already ELD exempt. Go with it. Swapping a 6NZ and it being golden ticket 1999 or made into one just adds cost and a little headache and for what? Why do you need a 15.2L? You have more than 5 axles and run heavy? You doing it yourself or paying someone else to do it? Probably just best to leave that 15.2L idea alone. Passing everything on the highway but a fuel pump gets old. That 14.6L will pass everything plenty good enough and might not be that bad on fuel if you drive it right. That's how I look at it.

6nz is overrated........ plus everyone wants one , so do something different.

And you already have the 2WS.

As long as you don't keep passing everything all day they don't do that bad for mileage. I wish I'd have gone ahead and just got the 800 horse cam while mine was apart anyway, horsepower is addictive.

2ws is by far a better engine. Stronger block than 6nz. Same internals. Eld exempt.

I thought I read somewhere on here in one of those ancient threads that they're the same block?

Can't really be helped when you've got a good engine. It's funny cause you can get in the hills loaded heavy and all these lousy lightweight and empty 65mph trucks are in the way they're losing speed going uphill as you stroll on by lol

Oxbow, mp4694330, Zeviander and 2 others Thank this.

2ws is the older block 14.6. 6nz is the sculptured block, still 14.6 they just rebranded it a C-15. You can swap the parts from one to the other. Same internal componets.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
