So today my driver was put OOS for driving over hours and not providing 7 days prior logs. The driver was ticketed for not providing 7 day logs. Soo how much could these fines cost? Does my company pay for them or does the driver?

    Fines are on the driver..

What I don’t understand is why they couldn’t provide the 7 days prior logs... My KT elog automatically gives them 14 days worth..

He failed one of the most fundamental rules of trucking last 8 days duty status on hand ready to go on demand at any time to DOT. Current day unsigned until after local midnight.

It will be you who suffer loss revenue etc. And now must examine punishment on him.

IF you do not take policy action because YOUR driver failed, then the DOT will come to your company and ask why are you protecting drivers who do not keep and turn in last 8 days to you to keep.
