I carried lights, lenses and bulbs mainly.

There were two words I never wanted to hear from anyone if trailer would not cooperate.

"Trailers Shorted." meaning the entire web in there is no good past the pig tail.

Even today I can almost easy fix a older bulb system in a few moments. Provided there is good power behind it.

An old trick car haulers use is carry a squirt bottle of salt water, if they put a minor scratch and don't have the right touch up paint, squirt it and it will be an old rusty scratch upon delivery. lol

Your DMV and PSP reports are the most important imo. Check both, if they are clean, f em

For you MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) you can get it from the DMV website for the state your license is from. Might be dmv.(state abbreviation).gov. Or do a google search for (state) DMV
Once finding it you'll have to do a site search for 'request mvr'. Need to fill out a small form and it can be mailed to you or given electronically via a pdf file that you have to download. Fee likely varies by state.

PSP is available at the fmcsa website Pre-Employment Screening Program
Just scroll down a bit and click the "request your records" button. It costs $10

    Mototom and Linte_Loco Thank this.

If it wasn't bad enough to stop you was it really an accident ????

I think pulling in to close is worse, not slowing down is a separtet lapse of judgement, both are worse than putting a black mark on a curb.
I've scraped a few sidewalls in my time as well, looking in the mirror as you slowly squeeze around a corner in downtown anywhere, USA.

Can not stress this enough, cutting yourself to close on following distance is going to kill you or someone else. That is the biggest safety cushion you have, give it the space it needs to protect you.....
