Stone haulers have fuzzy tattered straps and DOT doesnt seem to bother the locals about it [except mebane scale who always red lights me.. A 14ft wide double pilot load got the bypass while i got scaled this morning! LoL]

Anyhow i stopped putting edge protectors on river rock as kylefitzy said.. Its smooth. The baskets are grabby but dont really cut thru that bad. All my stone straps are chopped down wore out oldies. Shop consumables.

    Good job kiddo....
And that's why loads like these are available ......nobody wants them

You got some hotshot broker saying its"stone".....and people assume its flat chunks on pallets, strap n go,...not this.

Few places up in new york and Pennsylvania,do these crazy stone loads, I don't move them because too stressful for$1.60 a mile.

Nice job in coralling this monstrosity.

Nother day at the office. The schofield yard up above scranton makes excellent pallets for those.. Their drivers strap thru the fork area actually.

The rates on those river rock aint that bad herr. In the mid 2s, easy job. Loose slab and boulder take 5x longer to bind down and edge protect.
