Some of us don't have a choice there friend.

My prime working hours are 0600 to 2200. I can stretch the former to as early as about 0300 and the latter as late as 0100, but if I could be up between 0300 and 0400 and moving between 0400 and 0500 and done by 1600 and 1700 every day, that's ideal. 11 hours driving in a 12 hour window starting the same time every day is a dream, leaving flexibility room to drag the day start back to make up for some time the next day or beat traffic.Westbound23, 1951 ford, Oxbow and 16 others Thank this. -
Yep, we’re only human we can only do so much. Getting off the interstate little bit ago here in NY, left lane is closed 500 feet before my exit. 55 mph and as I approach the barrels here comes a idiot in a Chicago special pulling a dry van up on my left..... he had 2 choices, the barrels or my bumper. I took the berm to save my truck...... naturally he never responded to my CB comment!! Glad things are good in your personal life, hang strong!Westbound23, 1951 ford, Oxbow and 23 others Thank this.

Of course.
Comment was 100% aimed at those who can make the choice to drive in the dark in order to get stuff done, but don't strictly because they fear the Boogeyman is going to get them.

Pulled into a big empty lot in Cache creek BC, saw a freightliner parked over about 6 trucks, front bumper literally touching a steel pole. As i stared in disbelief, wondering how they hit it. The guy in the next truck over saw me staring at it, he told me he watched the guy pull in, just kept pulling ahead until he hit it, actually moved it a couple inches it now leans so much at the top. Then he didn't even backup, just got out of his truck and went into the restaurant.

I like the day better unless its snowing in Georgia. Then I will wait till all the locals are asleep and sneak across under cover of darkness.

Lol.
Night time can be nice if possible. Usually for me I am restricted by law to run daylight hours only if oversized. -
The monster under the bed?
It jumps out the window at 0230 once it realizes I’m about to drive

I’ll take nights. Especially this time of year. Less traffic, coops closed, truck runs cooler, quicker to load cuz most guys are sleeping instead of hauling, not so hot when working, etc.
Just watch out for the deer. -
I really thought all the boneheads were down here in the states. Guess you guys got a few also.
