Haven't had any bbq from Albany yet. But I'm sure its not bad. I do prefer my own brand myself. Bought a good pit from Lang out of southeast ga about two years ago and I gotta say it covers up a lot of my failings.

I got out in March of 2017. Wish I never did and just finished out my last nine years but being deployed every other year got old and it was for no reason and my daughter was growing up without me right in front of me. So I wanted out but man I miss the brother hood. Because let me tell you something out here in trucking I can see in trucking that brotherhood has become lost. There are some out there that still believe in it but for the most part these young guys that have taken over the industry and don’t understand it.Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

@Kstrong86 thank you for your service bro, which unit were you in that you was deploying back to back. Hope you were not assigned to a fort hood unit. The units at fort hood were deploying back to back along with the ones at fort Carson.

Well fellas, just got the call. I start Monday at 0900. Kinda late for me, was hoping for much earlier but I’ll take it.
@Kstrong86 I understand what you’re saying about the brotherhood being gone. I’ve only been driving 15 years and I have seen big changes even in that amount of time. I’d consider myself one of the younger guys myself at ~40 but I notice it’s still so hard to find a driver anymore willing to engage in anything useful. When I came back on the road last year from being local for about 10 years I really missed that part the most. When I was a new driver on the road, I was never lonely and could always strike up a good conversation or a meal with a fellow trucker in most places to pass the time. Guys knocking on doors to talk about their trucks and just a more general atmosphere of learning, etc. Now, that is very rare.
@ y’all - Welcome to good food at my house anytimeKstrong86, 88 Alpha and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
Congrats, @Matt1924. Hope it works out well for you.
Just found out I'm gonna have to pass on the meet-and-greet in Albany. They just now told me to go on home instead of going to Albany.
If that offer is a standing invitation, who knows, we might all show up at one time.
@Kstrong86, thanks for your service. Keep up the good work at AAA Cooper and in this thread.
Gotta go, will see y'all on the forums later this afternoon.Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
Man you guessed it. Fort Carson. 64th BSB. I loved that unit. Was in that unit for 8 years manMatt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

Congrats man. 0900 is just for videos and online training you have to do. Should take about two days maybe three days if you are having a hard time. After that should be an early start time for you.88 Alpha, Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
