Super Trucker Trainee. 19 years experience. Can’t back. Can’t drive straight down the road. Can’t shut his ####ing mouth. Knows absolutely everything while knowing next to nothing. Lies constantly. Crap his pants on the drivers seat twice and once on my bed.

Total ####ing nightmare.

 

Yea you could pass some very tests. I was a welder before I started driving again. It's nice to see someone post pics that aren't a harbor freight flux core pos with a dude that has no idea what's he's doing but he's a "welder" . The hardest thing about testing when I got my 6g was all the different positions.

 

I did a lot of welding and fabrication for my previous employer... All the pipe stuff was for caustic fertilizer, and had to be 100% leak free... The stainless pipe stuff was for a toxic fumigant... The plumbing had to hold air pressure at 110 psi over night with less than 5 psi bleed off. That was a B****!!!

 

I tried it, I even went as far as to learn how to write g code and ran a a Haas cnc. While it is pretty cool seeing what you can accomplish it gets really boring working in a production shop.

 

Since I know you guys were wondering and it’s probably been keeping you up at night...and with my vast 3 days experience with an air ride trailer here are my thoughts.

Smoother. Sure does wallow a lot. Leans weird. Seemed more effected by the wind.

I think with lighter loads they’re great. Grossed out I think I like spring better.

Of course I’ve pulled one air ride trailer. So obviously I know everything.

 

That moment when a man becomes a trucker. Lol

 

It depends on the shop... If you are just the guy pushing the green button and changing parts it is boring... I worked in A 2 man shop, boss bid the work and gave me the blue prints... I did everything else... Wrote code, made fixtures, ran the manuals, sharpen tooling, setup machines, run machines... Id did it all. And I lived it, but there are very few big shops in my area and none of them want to pay what I'm worth... Id have to move to Seattle or Denver to get the kind of money I'm worth as a machinist. So ive got over $10k in tools, and a vertical knee mill that are now just a hobby... I really want a gearhead lathe, maybe someday.
