I have noticed that most pulse exhaust manifolds for the Big Cam Cummins run around $375 give or take a bit. I have, however, seen some for about three times that amount, specifically from Pittsburgh Power. My question is whether or not there is any significant difference in flow, fuel mileage or power between the $375 manifold and the Pittsburgh Power manifolds? Additionally, between the multiple $375 manifolds are there different manufacturers or designs that deviate from a direct copy of the Cummins OEM part?

Thank you very much for any information you can provide.

Cannot answer all those questions. Unless you are building a monster I doubt there are great advantages to expensive manifolds. Regardless of the price are you going to take the time to match the ports?

I don't have the answer to that question but I know that I've heard other people say that the expensive mufflers from Pittsburgh Power are just rebranded Mufflers from another manufacturer that they upcharge you.

I couldn't tell you if there's any real difference but if it were me I would just find one from a junkyard somewhere.

And if you are upgrading to have a turbo with the Dual Inlet on the manifold make sure you have the right jake brakes.

    spsauerland and ramirezbrandonc Thank this.

BoxCarKidd, I most likely won't. As long as the gasket isn't blocking anything nothing will be trimmed. I'm not looking to build a monster. This particular motor is being built from 350 specs to around 450.

Dino soar, thank you, I was worried that the expensive manifolds were just upcharged or rebranded without any real difference. The upgrade isn't for a big change in the turbo (it is an HT60 from an N14), the upgrade is just for a more efficient and more powerful motor by way of better flow.

    Dino soar Thanks this.

I never did this but I thank the manifold from the N14 will go right on the NTC as well. If I an wrong someone will be along to humiliate me. Those NTC pulse manifolds were not all that expensive anyway.
Purchased a manifold for a B series in a JCB on line with paypal. It came from China and only cost 25% of what JCB or Cummins wanted. Delivery time was about the same. It looks and works great. Wonder if they all get them from the same place.
