Do they hire only those with 48 state experience? I run reefer in the 12 west and may be looking to make a move soon. I am loving seeing that JCT runs their drivers hard, much needed as an L/O-O/O. My miles have gone from a consistent 3500 miles to fighting to get 2800 or so.
What kind of miles do these trucks typically have on them for new drivers, or does it all just vary? Is it a headache to bring on a partner to run team if you start out going solo?

As far as mileage on the trucks it varies at time of orientation on whats available. One week might give out all brand new trucks the next might have more older trucks available. I know they've been asking drivers with 06 and older trucks to start trading theirs in. But from 07's and up range from 450,000 and upWildcat74 Thanks this. -

I do a little creative writing as it is, not a big deal to me.
Alanp, seems like awfully high mileage to be getting in on a truck... How is the maintenance cost on those things? You get a truck in the shop and you're losing twice (down time + cost of repairs) so I'd like seeing a little newer truck than that.
Anything over 3k miles wouldn't be bad, I know a lot of places are not able to provide that kind of mileage right now. This may be a route I look into in the near future... -

I'm set to come out July 13. I see they use trip pak. When do your slips need to be turned in by to get paid? Is there a set day each week to get paid on?
