Nobody answered the question about NYC. Does Crete force drivers into the city or out on the island? Does Crete run a forced dispatch system period? I ran northeast region for 13 years, and if i never go back in the city or on the island again I guess i can just die happy!!!!

 

If you are a company driver for Crete, the system is semi-forced dispatch. MOST OF THE TIME, you will be given a choice of two or three different loads with radically different destinations. In that case, if one of the loads is going to NYC or Long Island, you can simply accept a different offered load. But I did get stuck going to Long Island once. I got a load offer that had only one possible load to accept. And when you are given a group of load offers (1 to 3 different loads), you MUST accept one of the offered loads. So if the only load offered is to NYC, you are being forced to drive to NYC. I hope that answers your question.
