In Houston, just ease into them and push, they are used to it.

I just slow down to the point where they don't want to go that slow, and they take off.
Rarely happens though I see anyone road rage.

Freeway princess's are very common in most metro areas. That's why you're a professional driver, and they're a freeway princess. You may have 2 or 3 of these going through SoCal on a given day.

Good job. It's not often they get to me but when they do it's time to take a breather.

I had one and I handled it the way you did except I didnt need to pull over.

He failed his merge job, got pissed and I saw the aggressive driving when he passed me. So when he lane change in front of me I was already braking. Slowed to 45mph, put my hazards on and just stayed there. No air horn no attempts to pass. You know when you try to pass that's what they want so they can block you. Dont do it.

He got bored extremely quickly and off he went into the night to slap himself to sleep.

Libertine use of air horn. Though it's probably best to use TravR1's most helpful suggestion.

Sorry you were the victim of an idiot who has no clue on how to merge properly onto a highway. Friendly neighborhood state trooper Lewis from Colorado has good video about proper merging instruction. I can't figure out how to post it here, though.
