  4. yeah I do it quite a bit when you get some jerk off steering wheel holder likes to ride your butt.
sometimes I'm a brake check and wants if they get on my nerves I don't care the good news is if I brake check in when they hit me I'll just go to the hospital that way they have to have a whiz quiz whether they like it or not on the side of the road before that truck moves again...
but most of the time I do just that roll off the road hit the shoulder check my phone see if any text came in or something let the DMFS get far away..although sometimes I'll call their safety department and thinking what a nice video to if they really aggravate me..I like it when these safety directors can only apologize once they get the video and they can't defend them especially when they know it's going to go on YouTube

What does that really accomplish? Seriously have nothing better to do with your time? Just back off and let the a holes be a holes and stay away from them so you don't get tangled up in it. "I'll put it on YouTube Mr safety guy" yea the other guy may be a steering wheel holder but now you sound like a 13 year old girl. I"tell everyone on facepage that this driver was a jerk" lol. Maybe you should start some new threads in the report a bad company, you could pimp your videos there.

Sometimes it’s because new drivers lack experience in handling traffic merging onto the freeway. Other times, there isn’t much you could have done as there is probably no such thing as 100% smooth merges. There are various techniques in handling these situations. Here are some:

    • As soon as you approach an exit, start looking for vehicles that may be merging onto the freeway.
    • If you see many vehicles turning onto what appears to be the freeway on-ramp, you want to start planning a safe lane change.
    • When you cannot change lanes or if the traffic comes from a direction you could not have foreseen, then look at the vehicles on the on-ramp and try to determine their speed in relation to your vehicle.
    • It is much easier for you to brake and allow them to pass you than it is for you to accelerate and attempt to pass them.
    • Sometimes you have to stop accelerating, sometimes you need to brake.
    • Sometimes some vehicles need more than just 5 feet of space, otherwise they are not sure if they can safely pass you.
    • At times and when possible, I move a little bit to the right so the driver knows that his vehicle is 25% over my vehicle, and he can safely move over.
    • Sometimes some vehicles slow down on purpose because you are too close to their own vehicle (tailgating) by their own judgement, that is.

  7. LOL!!l!t I like the residuals every quarter for the last 5 years that Google pays for YouTube shares and viral videos and advertising.
I like to show the rest of the world and keep a driver shortage away showing how anybody can drive a truck what the car mentality.. it seems without taking a test and these are just simple examples...
and g"paid to do it" it's just an added incentive free money basically.. record edit upload done. I like to give them their dubious honor to the industry

I guess I just don't see it that way. I get paid enough driving the truck so I don't need to make side money. I carry a Martin backpacker guitar with me when I line haul and talk to the family on the phone before they go to bed....better #### to do then show the world what they already know....most truckers suck lol. Not naming names but the other one that always posts videos about ####ty other drivers....it's sad.

Some shocking behavior announced in this thread!
Be a professional driver, calm down and relax, slow down gently without brake checking anyone, and let a bad driver zoom off till out of sight, then resume your normal driving. A few people should get out the scissors and cut their license up and throw it in the garbage, dangerous driving style.
    Shame!

tinytim, Hulld, starmac and 3 others Thank this.
  10. if I make 5 more months without an accident or a ticket I will have my 3 million award in a achievement and personal goal I worked very hard for..
and having to deal with DMFS almost as idiotic as cars gets very aggravating day after day anymore where it starts to feel like a job but I won't let them win but I will win because I like the extra free money...
I have two guitars with me on the road at all times and electric and acoustic along with my Roland micro cube. and yes it does reduce the stress at night time at the end of the day or sitting at a shipper if not reading a book.
but also being very active in social media on my real name
along with being a lifetime member of OOIDA, WIT, TAT,
along with being patreon supporter of many old school truck drivers YouTube channels
creating vlogs going down the road but when you have somebody tailgating you sorry I don't tolerate it..I have no respect for Craigslist Cowboys or anybody that does not pretend them self in a safe manner and that's all I'm going to say about that
the bottom line when someone is jeopardizing my safety I don't give a care about them you are not a part of the generation I started with you are a part of the problem and not a part of the solution and I will call you out on it every time if I feel like it.

And then you get some idiot that instantly merges into the highway at 35mph 3 feet in front of the truck when he still had 1500 feet of merge lane and a wide shoulder. See many of those near Atlanta. I understand it’s to our advantage to make sure they safely merge and not in the way of each other but they need to realize that traffic already in the highway has the right of way and it’s the responsibility of merging traffic to safely merge and attempt not to impede highway traffic. Sometimes you can’t help it like some of the merge ramps on PA that have no merge area that’s understandable but there’s no excuse you can’t safely merge your 2015+ Corolla on light to moderate traffic and 500-1000 foot merge area, determine the rough speed of the rig if you can accelerate past that speed then please by all means STEP ON IT.
