Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hi,
I myself am having a hard time just going threw school. I have one ticket rest is clean. WIA will pay for the training if i'm able to find a "pre hire" I'm looking for companies who students, or just anywhere for the moment.
I worked otr for two years with a class b cdl. untill i was laid off.
sorry if i kinda jacked your thread.. not trying to -
no problem broke, I go back to the unemployment office on july 16 th for a 2nd meeting with the wia case worker here in sc. when I went last week to check into the program the first case worker told me he didnt see a problem. would be training with tri county tech school near here which is good. 4 weeks. Also i dont have to pre hire He said I would just have to look after I got my cdl and keep them informed as to how I was doing in the job search.I am looking now will prob run solo or if I find someone I like to run team than I will. all depends. good luck and if you hear anything let me know

i just called another school b/c i rememberd the one near me is pretty new with in a year or so. So i called another one about an hour away and explained my problem. They seem to be a little more in their game. I hate to travel an hour to a from, but if thats whats it takes thats what it takes.
Now that i think about it when i applied to school #1 all i done was fill in the blanks with my information, they said they would call a few companies and seen what happen, then gave me the news that i needed to find a "pre hire"
school #2 says come on in fill out some info, fill out some apps, get a company to take the bait and bam, i should be in the WIA's pocket, going threw school and landing a job all before you can say "well i'll be ######"
guess we'll see, going to the school tomarrow.
