Have one of my 2012 VNL, the stop light is flashing on the dash, but the truck has no codes showing, and nothing obviously amiss, is it the instrument cluster assembly itself?

    This one has me stumped...

    Socal Xpress Thanks this.

  3. say anything else on the DID digital readout on the stop light goes off?
I had a brake sensor go out and it would act like you pulled the brakes and it's kept on going down the road it was just a faulty sensor..
Volvo's have a mind of their own It seems

Brake sensor, as in abs sensor? Not throwing any codes anywhere for that, need to find where the #### buzzer is and just rip it out.

  5. no not the ABS sensor
this is the actual brake sensor kind of similar to like when you set your brakes on a Volvo you pop out the knobs and you get that little red lighted P circle on the dash...
I was getting that simulating basically me parking the truck and kicking on the stop engine but the problem was the brakes weren't setting I'd go down the road but it would start beeping as if the brakes were set

That’s exactly the problem I’m having, where is that brake sensor located? The red circle P is coming up and the stop triangle starts flashing along with the alarm going off.

  7. it's somewhere down there in the floorboard. it's called a brake pedal sensor.
mine actually corrected itself after about three days of it it was annoying I just turned up the radio and listen to the rock and roll a little louder first time to panic because it was like oh that I forget to release the brakes why is this coming on then I realize now I'm rolling along happily a 55 mile an hour the good news is the brakes aren't setting that was my first big fear where they were going to set themselves but they don't it's just a stupid sensor..
easiest way to do is just call a local Volvo dealer say where is the brake sensor at I'm getting it like my brakes are sending but they're not setting but I'm getting the alarm...quite a few of all those are prone to that as they get a little bit of age..

I'm having the same problem. Anybody have a picture of the location, I can't find it. Also is it the harness or the sensor itself?
