    Hi All,

Other than DAT, what are other resources you guys use to find drivers operating Box trucks. Most of the customers I deal with do not need a 53'er for long haul shipments. Any tip would be greatly appreciated.

Are you a broker, or are you a driver?

Broker, my firm specializes in long haul shipments less than 10 pallets or less than 9,000 lbs

26’ straight truck... plenty of those around- but with OAL length limits in many states, most otr straight trucks have shorter boxes.

So what other load boards do you use to find them, it seems like DAT really just specializes in 53' Dry vans, do you guys use truckstop more or how do you find box trucks

I have some contacts for smaller trucks and expedite work. Bout the best I can tell you. I'm not going to be sharing them.

I’m a carrier. When I had a straight truck (flatbed) I’d post it up on ITS just fishing. Customers that knew I had it would utilize it as necessary as well. I never otr’d With it. Mostly city work. Word of mouth advertising otherwise.
I don’t know about otr straight work; are you looking to be cheaper by using smaller equipment? Might be better off putting a couple together n booking it as 2/2 on a trailer instead?

No, it more or less has to do with our customers, usually no loading dock so a liftgate is needed but also they dont have the need to ship more than 10k lbs of goods or more than 9 to 10 pallets.

    Ruthless Thanks this.

That liftgate caveat really narrows it down pretty tight...
    Straightjob
    26’ box
    Liftgate
    Otr

Hope someone here has a suggestion for you on where to look. I can’t think of any.

    cke Thanks this.
