You got my hair raising just reading about it, lol. But I've only been driving for 4.5 years now, so I've got a whole lot more to experience. It's just a matter of finding the balance between comfort and adventure.

 

Decades ago, back in the 80’s, the news media went to a truck stop and went and interviewed a guy standing by a big rig about drug use. On camera, the dimwit babbled something and started poll popping.
Ever since then, the general public has been against truckers.

That truck stop had been closed 10 years.

THE WHOLE THING WAS STAGED!

My brother and I were building 2 houses in a rough area of town. Across the street were 3 houses on the block. The middle house and the house to the right were “good time houses.” One weekend, some guy got killed in the middle house and the police swooped in and raided the middle and right houses. They made a bunch of arrests. Both houses were boarded up and padlocked. The drug dealer that owned them decided to sell them to HUD who deals with houses for low income families.

A friend of mine who owned a demolition company brought his escalator out and dropped it in the lot. A few days later, the sheriff, the mayor, DA, city council members running for election all showed up with the media, got on camera acting tough like those ambulance chasing moronic bottom feeding lawyers, and bragged about how they’re fighting crime and how tomorrow is a new day for that neighborhood , and their commitment to the people.

The DARE van shows up. 5 kids jump out. There have the kids stand in a circle and bounce a ball to each other (none of the kids lived anywhere near this area). An old black woman (who didn’t live there either) gets out of the DARE van to be interviewed. And she says, “I feel so much safer now that the drug dealer is behind bars!”

Remember how I said that there were 3 houses? Well, the drug dealer they were all talking about and bragging about, was sitting on the porch of the house to the far left.

The whole thing was a lie. They staged everything.
