...and just like that, Monday was over. Not that I'm complaining. Now the rest of the week can start.
At lunch time I put down a foot long deli sandwich, some beef jerky and key lime soda. Was still hungry after that so I finished off some mac salad I had in the fridge from Friday. It's a good thing I burn a lot of calories every day otherwise I'd be getting fat. I think part of the problem was seeing some of the food pics that you guys post up on here....

Well I jacked up the rear ends and run em up to bout 20mph and seen some up and down movement on one set of duals. Checked the bearing and couldn't feel any slack. Couldn't feel any slack in any of the other bearings either. Checked driveshaft and didnt see anything there either. Any suggestions before I just say screw it and run it till I need new tires and get some aluminum wheels?
cke, Feedman, Westbound23 and 9 others Thank this. -
Per se.
" by or in itself, or themselves ; Intrinsically. "
In other words, I do not have a position on gun control just to say I have one.
Understand me ?
Lots of people take hard stances for or against certain things, ideas, thoughts or policies and refuse to accept that blanket policies often fail to cover all the situations that can come about from slight changes in the situation.
Everyone here knows that the blanket policies on the HOS are often inadequate and just plain wrong.
Do YOU think that Fluffy is someone who you would like to bear arms ?
The guy can't hear well and has other health problems too.
Do we allow blind people to drive ?
No.
The responsibility is too great to allow them that liberty or right.
That's my point.cke, Feedman, Westbound23 and 8 others Thank this. -
I thought you used to run around the North shore of Lake Superior? You oughta be good at dodging the towel heads on 2 lanes!IH Truck Guy, cke, Feedman and 12 others Thank this.

The words that you added emphasis too were the opposite of the ones I was trying to get across.
The emphasis should have been on the " per se " to understand what I was saying. -
Nothing spectacular tonight, just hot dogs. That is the hanging hook sticking out the end of the handle. But, since it never gets hung up, I guess there really isn't a need for the hook part.

Yes...misread it my bad...that is a beautiful stretch of road!
I love that whole area Golden, by the kicking horse river and out to Field etc. Not scary though, just scenic! Big sweeping corners, and now a lot of it is 2 lanes each way so easy to pass, not like it was decades ago. Those corners are nothing though, just sail along. The entire Southeast area of BC is still my favorite place though. Even down in the kootenays its really nice, not just the Columbia area. I have lived in many places, when I came here though it was the first time I really felt like i was home. What a great place to raise my daughter in as well. Should come do some jet boating on the local rivers oneday you guys. Nice way to see stuff, and really enjoyable shooting the rapids. -
Still all these years later, many hours of the drive today had no cellular service. I only drove 1.5 hours all day, my great trainee handled the bulk of it. I only drove from Tete Jeaune Cache, to Slim Creek, so an hour and forty five minutes was all. Slim Creek may be the nicest rest area ever. I went walking in the creek and got to play on the swing set. My employees think that I'm nuts playing on the kids playground equipment and wading in the creek, but before long they all joined me. Took a 30 minute break there, and getting close to Prince George now, just passed the ski hill at Tabor Mountain.

I am a born prairie boy but love the rockpile.
Yes my first time from Lake Louise AB to Revelstoke BC back in about '85 on my way to the coast with a B-train scared the bejesus out of me. 4 years later I was running the same road weekly 7 months out of the year. the rest of the year was road salt to the Kootenays. That was what I did for 5 years with some side trips into the Prince George/ Prince Rupert areas. -
Beautiful country isn't it?!
Will be spending the night in Prince George tonight, Kitimat tomorrow night. Rupert is nice as well, especially down in Cow bay, but I'll be turning left in Terrace and dropping down to Kitimat instead. Nice to have a fellow on here who knows this section of the planet.
Where did you haul salt to in the kootenays?
East or west side of kootenay lake, or were you even further west in the arrow lake valley.
