You need to be a little more specific then that. That gives a whole page of trucks and could be considered advertising. The link of the truck your actually looking at?

We expect a newbee to tell us which of the 29 trucks on the link he is interested in.

That's OK, I've done far worse. -
Great minds think alike and little ones seldom differ. In the interest of harmony on the board we won't get into whos who. -

do u think the extended hood would be good in the mountains?

It would be a decent start for a truck. From looking at the pics and info, I would guess that it was a fleet truck and they might have the maintance records if ya ask.
The only thing I will say is that with the C-15 you are gonna get lower mpg's until you modify it and learn how to drive the motor. The ACERT C-15's are a different breed and a person can't drive them the same way as a E model CAT. Go searching in the threads here on info about the C-15 motors. There are a bunch of little things that a person can do to improve throttle response, hp/tq, and mpg. -
I dont think that you will like the 3.36 rears, had a bunch of guys try to trade me out of my 3.55's
