Probably neither.
How much is the pay? -
P.S.
My biggest problem last night was which podcast to listen to? There really isn't anything good---like T.V.
Then, which songs to sing along with. i'm trying "It can happen" by Yes. Not easy.
Your Problems will be, among other things:
Dealing with customers, although Wisconsin people are cool for the most part.
Should i put 350lbs on the cart and strain more, or put 250lbs on, but have to make more trips.
Should i drink soda, energy drinks, juices or all three. And YOU WILL need to drink---ALOT. because you WILL sweat your poor butt off.
Which food should i eat to provide maximum energy because this is physically the most difficult job---of ANY profession.
Do you get the drift of what i'm trying to say here.....? -
P.P.S.
i don't think you're going to be a happy camper come winter time......
We do drop and hook, but it's only for a few minutes. The rest of the time is in the warm, comfy, cozy cab listening to podcasts.
In other words,
DON'T DO IT.Marky84 Thanks this. -
I would rather be working unloading groceries than setting at home on the extra board not making money at ltl cause freight is slow just saying.Marky84, jmz, brtecson and 1 other person Thank this.

I have heard great things about McLane. I actually was trying to get on with them but they called after I had already taken a job I like so I didn't do it. Those dudes can make some serious bank. Some of us like the work like when I was a feeder driver at ups and went back to a package car because I missed the work. Not everyone is fine with making okay money just to sit in the cab.....just saying.
Keithdabarber, Marky84 and buddyd157 Thank this. -

I work at McLane Elkhorn. I won't shill for the place, and I won't knock them either. Generally I am pleased working there. Regardless of what company or location a person is at, it is all about getting that stuff out of the trailer and into the stores. It can be difficult. Per Russian Rabbit's request:

with either one you choose, just remember that YOU WILL be going to many VERY TIGHT strip malls or corner stores, or VERY TINY parking lots, where you will have to off load from the streets.
a lot (not all however) food service companies send you to places you wish you were never born to see.Mooseontheloose, Marky84 and Radman Thank this. -
No doubt. Have any of you been to glen wood springs Colorado? Not made for trucks. There’s a KFC next to I-70 only way to get to it is at night thru a residential. Then you have to hop two curb islands through the back. Google map it it’s pretty hilarious.
Between pine and maple. Cruise a 48fter there.
You come in through maple to out pine. If you ever vacation there go to that kfc you’ll be amazed you can get a truck in there. Lol.Mooseontheloose, Cardfan89 and buddyd157 Thank this.
